Playing with Helen’s animal matching game

My niece Meagan has kindly shared this video of her son Alexander playing with the animal matching game we sent her as a gift. It has always been awkward and difficult to get permission to post pictures and video clips of kids actually playing and having fun with the toys we build- so this is a real treat!

Thanks to Meagan and Alexander!!

The animal matching game is intended to encourage kids to use their visual skills to search around them. Today’s kids spend more time looking at objects close to them (like phones and screens) and don’t always get enough time looking up, down and around to find and explore the world. This animal matching game is intended to encourage movement as kids look for the animals that can be hidden high, low, under and on top of wherever they are. Scanning and searching while moving is a great way to build these vital skills.
