In January 2024 we completed a new playscape for the pre-school class at the Center School in Greenfield Massachusetts. The Parham Family Playground joins the toddler playground completed for the Center School in 2022. I am especially excited to be designing for the pre-school age kids, as this age was the focus of my work as a pediatric therapist. The design includes a “hug machine”, a small elevator device operated by pulleys, and a rain stick for sound effects. It has taken time to get the photos and videos to show the playscape in action, but I wanted to get pictures up on the site now, and will include videos when available.
As with all the playscapes, I want to thank Brian Gulick, who has volunteered to help me to transport and install each playscape, and provides excellent technical advise and expertise.

Dedication
Parham Family Playground
This indoor playground for the Center School was built with generous donations from the Parham family and in honor of Charles V Parham (1945-2019). Charlie and his wife Roxy Schneider have been supporters of this building project for children right from the start. Our first big fund raiser was a music party hosted at their home in 2012, that raised substantial funds to get the project going. After Charlie’s untimely passing, his family has provided substantial yearly donations in Charlie’s memory. This funded most of the materials needed to build this new playscape. I am so thankful to Charlie’s family for giving me the opportunity to build and donate in Charlie’s name. Charlie dedicated his working life to education and loved to play! He was a wise, kind and generous friend and is sorely missed by all who knew him!!
